Sankeys will attempt to bring back the electronic music crowd, which left NYC years ago.

Irving Plaza 1997. Image courtesy of NYTIMES.
There are many venues in NYC that no matter what the name changes to…it’s just not the same and NY’ers won’t accept it.
One such place is good old Irving Plaze, as it has seen it’s share of shows, performances, dj battles, and other parts of NYC nightlife.

Now Live Nation is returning the name and reapplying the original marquee sign bearing the Irving Plaza name. Thank goodness…now if they can only bring back the Palladium…the club..not the dorm.
